Symphony No. 44 in E minor 'Trauer' (Mourning)

Roy Goodman / The Hanover Band

1990 Period performance.

Top choice. A period performance with cleaner articulation and faster tempos that 'really works well for this symphony.' The playing is elegant, and the slow movement sounds 'beautiful, very poignant'.
