L'Oiseau de feu (The Firebird)

Igor Stravinsky

Antal Doráti / London Symphony Orchestra

Complete ballet 1959 Complete ballet. Fantastic recording quality.

Recommendation for the complete Firebird. Fantastic Mercury sound: vibrancy, color, clarity, presence. Doráti and the LSO are exciting and colorful. As good as it gets.

Suite 1935 Just the suite. Dutton remastering, very well recorded for its time.

Just the suite. This is exciting as hell. The 'Infernal Fire Dance' makes you quake in your boots, incredible for 1935. Iconic finale. Really exciting.
