Piano Trios (Nos. 1 & 2)

Franz Schubert

Piano Trio

David Golub, Mark Kaplan, Colin Carr

late 80s Very well recorded.

A wonderful recording from an American trio. They 'just have the full measure of this music.' Wonderful phrasing and playing, bringing home the dramatic aspects. A top-notch version.

Apple Music

Rudolf Serkin, Adolf Busch, Hermann Busch / Busch/Serkin Trio

Piano Trio No. 2 c. 1935 Historic recording of Trio No. 2.

A really dramatic version of the second trio. One of the iconic chamber music recordings. Fairly clear sound.

Alfred Cortot, Jacques Thibaud, Pablo Casals

Piano Trio No. 1 1930s

A colorful, characterful interpretation from this longstanding partnership.
